The 2026 bottom barriers program reservation are over for the season. See you in 2027.

Lake Defense Force started the TKPOA bottom barrier program in 2025 and had an overwhelming demand.

This program provides predictability, flexibility and transparency on cost.

For 2026 we took the feedback from the year before an incorporated it into our offer for a better service.

Lake Defense Force bottom barriers

Lake Defense Force build proprietary “Bottom Barriers” to effectively prevent invasive aquatic plants growth like Curly Leaf Pondweed and Milfoil by blocking their access to sunlight. These eco-friendly, 5′ x 10′ modular panels are heavily weighted to prevent shifting and avoid the use of dangerous stakes or rebar during installation. They supplement perfectly on the lakefront the work done by the TKPOA on the channels.

What is included :

  • Rental of the panels for the season.
  • Installation in May and removal at the end of season in October.
  • Replacement of damaged panels each year.
  • Mid-season cleaning to prevent growth over the panels. 
  • Mid-season Minor placement adjustments when water level or other situations requires it.
  • Storage of the barrier at the end of the season.

Cost :

The whole inclusive cost starts at 3 $ / sqft. A degressive price will be applied for larger footprint.

No more install fees.

50% deposit at reservation, 50% when barriers have been installed.

What’s better in 2026 : 

Installation and removal fees are included in the rental cost for a true all inclusive service. 

We’ve improved our design and are passing on the saving to the customers.

Overall cost per square foot is 20% cheaper than 2025.

Mid-season maintenance.

The installation will start earlier when plants are smaller improving placement and efficiency.

Reservation are easier with an online contact form and estimate.
